Nah, I was being lazy and had sat the camera on my lap when that happened. Got him right after.

I was planning on heading out and testing my new-ish telephoto lens to post a few here. Glad I didn't, as I would have never posted them after seeing yours.

Pffft. What lens? This was with the Sigma 150-500mm.

Yep, the net really screwed me. My line of sight was actually where the net went right down the middle of the plate. So for batter shots, I just set focus once before the pitch and held it down and waited. For the running shots, I just had to deal with it in servo mode, so about 1/2 those shots were just blurry crap.

LOL--same exact lens (for Nikon).

It's a beast. I like it much better than the 100-400mm L I had.
