Setting up our wireless fence I put it on lowest shock audible and Riley didn't flinch I turned the shock up 1 - she yelped a little and came back in the flag line, after this I took it off until I could get some thoughts from yal. She is almost 11wks old, it is mainly to try to teach her boundaries in the front as it is not fenced - I know still being a puppy she has lots of other stuff she is trying to figure out and lots to explore - back yard is fully fenced so she has lots of room to run. Yal think she is to young and when we are in the front we should just keep her leashed until she is a little older. She is doing very good with everything else so I don't want to introduce this if it is to early. This is using the PetSafe wireless fence

Maybe I'm a hardass but I don't think it's too early.

I didn't start my dog until he was 1 yr, BUT, that's because I didn't get him until he was 1 yr old. :)

I walked him to the flags, he heard the beep and kept going. He got zapped, ran back on the porch, wouldn't go within 10' of the flags for the next 6 months. Eventually the flags disappeared, but he still stops about the same spot. My wife calls it the "end of his leash" lol.

Also a Pet Safe. 85 lb lab
