Just watched episode 12 of this season (I think it's the finale?). Anyway, I've always enjoyed this show, but this might be my favorite season. It just keeps getting more dark and depressing, hard to stop watching. What do y'all think of this season?

i think the opposite. easily the worst. lots of shark jumping. and the spoiler in the finale is a huge "frick you" to the fans

I had to Google the spoiler, I guess it was shown after the credits rolled? Anyway, that's stupid if he's not dead and that kind of sours things for me now.

the problem with shameless is that it's not developing anything b/c it refuses to dump the storylines of season 1

****TONS OF SPOILERS****

St'immie showing up was truly a "frick you" to fans b/c it won't move the frick on. he left in season one, and then they've created the most insane stories trying to explain how he made it back.

frank dying is another one. they tease it (a frick ton last season) and go to absurd lengths to write themselves out of the corner. he needs to die. his story has run its course

i thought fiona was going to go to jail, frank was going to die, and we were going to start a new journey with lip, debbie, etc. nope. they ruin fiona's and then bring her back? the frick? also, they act like her having a felony will destroy employment opportunities, when until her job where she was fricking her boss, they were jobs filled with former felons. that shite is lazy

college, especially for a genius like lip, would not be hard. they're just creating drama for drama's sake

Dammit Slow, you trying to get me to hate this show? Because it's working, a-hole!

But it's a dark and depressing train-wreck I just can't stay away from, shark jumping or no shark jumping. I agree with Frank and Fiona, it's time to move on from them.

So now I'm guessing for S5, "St'immie" (wherever you got that from), will be back so we get to relive previous seasons with his and Fiona's story line. I'm sure Frank will just go back to being Frank of old. I'm probably most interested in Lip and seeing what road he goes down.

Christ, you're annoying.

The Jimmy Steve isn't a huge frick you to fans. He left with no closure. You knew he was coming back.

Frank is the only thing I'll agree with you about. He needs to go.

The first few seasons Fiona works shite jobs (pun intended) and they barely make it by. She finally gets a good gig, and she fricks it up. They make it seem hard for a felon to get a good job, not the jobs she had when she was making nothing with no benefits.

College, for a genius like Lip, probably would be tough. They show him in high school basically show up and blow everyone away because he's just smarter than everyone at his god awful school. Now that the playing field has been leveled, he can't get by on just being the smartest guy in the room. Would he have struggled as much as they portrayed? Probably not. But it's not nearly as far fetched as you make it out to be.

he shouldn't have come back after season 1. they created that problem by trying to milk st'immie

you don't get steady 1500+ scores on the SAT by just showing up to a shitty school

plus he had displayed aptitude to learn very difficult materials very quickly

wasn't he building robots at one point?
