Ascend FS12T Rudder Help

I have an Ascend FS12T (old style) that I'd like to put a rudder on. I would prefer it to have foot controlled steering. Has onyone accomplished this? Pictures would be awesome.

My main stumbling points are mounting adjustable foot controlls as my wife and I are of much different heights, and mounting the rudder onto that oddly shaped rear end.

I would prefer to put as few holes in the boat as possible.
