So this has nothing to do with why France's economy is in the shitter?

France can do whatever the hell they want. What does that have to do with America?

Trust me I have looked into it. Unlike us, they have their priorities in order.

Not answering a vital business question which may not can wait til monday is a "priority in order?" How lazy are you?

Sucks that you only value money?

I feel sorry for that mentality.

Have to agree. Spent some time in France and Italy years ago and they do it better imo. Shorter weeks, 2 hour lunches and many businesses in Italy close for 3 hours in the afternoon before opening for an hour or two at the end of the day.

A lot of less wealthy developed countries have a higher quality of life and rate higher in happiness overall. Which is all that really matters.

If it's that vital the employee will probably answer it. What this prevents is peoples jobs completely dominating their lives, which is what a lot of people in this country experience. I work my arse off when I'm in the office , but I also expect to have time to unplug and pursue other interests. In modern America this is becoming more and more difficult and some people have the gall the scoff at such a desire. If you want to spend every waking moment on call to your job that's fine I guess but don't project that on to me.

What a crock, i will answer the phone any time my boss calls not because i bow at his feet but because if he is calling me on the weekend them it must be important and i take pride in my work and in my company. This isn't about Lomburgh wanting Peter to work on the weekend and use the proper TPS cover sheets ..... Frickin lazy people , all it is

I'm lucky enough to live in Austin and have a boss that shares my views, but not everyone is that fortunate . This my way or the highway nonsense that the Corporatocracy is forcing on American workers who have no other alternative is criminal IMO. But then again criminal behavior is nothing new to Corporate America so I guess it's par for the course in a way.
