Warhawk was an avid poster on this board and I know that he had made many friends here. Deanintheyay and SCUBAblake, among others. I wanted to let you know of his passing. He talked about you often and regarded you all very highly.

You all knew him as WarhawkTiger6, but I knew him as James. I first met James in high school. We first became teammates on the school's basketball team. We quickly became good friends and considered each other brothers. Though we had drifted apart once I had left high school, we always found ourselves right back where we left off anytime we were lucky enough to get together.

He was an incredibly passionate sports fan, especially for his LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, and Texas Rangers. You could always find him in many in-game threads, cheering his favorite teams on. He carried that same passion in life and we all considered him a great guy who was a pleasure to be around. He was quick with a timely quote from some show or other, often leaving others smiling before it was all said and done. Today, we find it difficult to smile.

Prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Rest easy James, until we meet again.

ETA: Link to the help board petition in honor of WT6, if you would like to voice your support. He would have really loved it, I can promise you that.

Help Board Petition For WT6

ETA: It's been a tough weekend. Lots of questions without any answers. Today, we listened to many wonderful stories from those closest to James in what was a beautiful ceremony. One story in particular stuck out, in which James had shared his vision of paradise. Unsurprisingly, it involved baseball.

And so as a send off, I'd like to announce for the final time,

Playing shortstop and batting leadoff for your Texas Rangers, number 7, James 'WarhawkTiger6'

I can see the grin on his face now.

Thank you all so much for the nice things you said, the prayers, and positive thoughts. James loved the board and it for sure is worse off without him.

Thank you for letting me share with you all

I don't know any of you guys personally but it's strange how you sorta feel like you "know" people reading their posts every day. Very Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.
