What's the best parking plan for going down there?

park on the street somewhere way down Canal and ride the streetcar downtown. Or, park in Harrah's lot and gamble long enough to get your parking validated.

I've started parking at Canal Place shopping center every time I go to NOLA. I have never seen that lot full.

I'd say park somewhere near the cemeteries on City Park Ave. and take the streetcar down. You need to catch the streetcar at the beginning because it'll be packed by the time it reaches Broad.

Side note... does anything know about riding a motorcycle to FQF?

ETA: I second the Harrah's idea as well. That's my go-to parking whenever I go downtown.

Capital One has some kind of park and ride program. I can't remember the details, but I'm sure it's on the website.

For this event, I get down around 9 or 10 and park south of the quarter along the riverfront(or as close as you can get to it).
There are some old warehouses and different kind of commercial buildings, etc and I always find parking around there.

Canal Place isn't a bad idea. A cheaper option is the lot between the Hilton and Convention center if you want to be in a lot.

Don't take the streetcar. They're going to be PACKED and with tons of stops. Catch a bus instead.

Park on the other side of canal and the lake side of carondolet. Park in the lots off of okeefe or that area where it's just a lot not a garage. It will be cheaper and being over that way it will be easy in and easy out. A little extra walk but not bad at all and don't have to worry about the bullshite

Why on earth would you want to park that close and have to deal with all the craziness afterward?

Park it in her butt. Then you can go down there. She'll appreciate your libertine nature.
