Visiting NYC Friday-Monday for some needed R&R. I'm looking for some good ideas and things to do outside the classic tourist circuit. I did those things in April 2013 but I honestly fail at planning/researching for this trip.

So far my list of events are:

Yankees vs. RedSox (3rd base line, Friday and Sat)
Magic vs. Brooklyn Nets
Dangerfields Comedy Club
Comedy Cellar
Guided Metropolitan Museum Tour (didn't do guide last time).
Museum of Natural History.

Any other ideas? I tried to Fallon/Letterman/etc tickets but of course they were outside my planning abilities. Also, don't really care about that.

I think I'm also going to hang out and study at some coffee shop around Central Park or something. But I heard the place is actually pretty shady.

I went saw Absinthe in Vegas the last week of February. Hated the experience. If it's anything like that I can't sit through that again.

So much white trash living in those apartments bordering Central Park.

Book of Mormon
Le Bernadin

Also, if you have been enjoying Cosmos on Fox recently, the planetarium at the History museum has a really cool exhibit going on right now.

I am helping my brother in law build a deck on Sunday. You are more than welcome to come help.

Seriously, if you are looking for something a little odd then check out Sleep No More.

I did Letterman while I was in NYC, terrible mistake... Horrible use of time.

It has to be before 6. My day is free. You buy the beer though. Also, I require ride to and fro my location.

Have you checked out Brooklyn Bowl? Its right next to Brooklyn Brewery. So you get 2 options.

Now this seems really cool. This is something I would have fun with.

Last time I really enjoyed walking around Chelsea and their food mart. It was fun.

Brooklyn Bowl is a good time. Saw Robert Randolph a few weeks back and he brought out Citizen Cope. Wanted to make it to the Brewery but didn't have time.
