Obviously it's far out, but I'm curious to hear the Rant's take on where Bregman will go in the 2015 Draft. At the end of last year, some services were saying he would be a top 15 pick in 2015.

I'm trying not too put too much stock in this season just yet because I'd like to see his final numbers, but I'm curious what others think. He's small, has average power and will more than likely move to 2B in the pros. I think his bat can carry him but would like other perspectives.

What round was he drafted in out of high school?
Has he regressed?

29th round by the Red Sox, mainly fell that much due to a finger injury.

definitely projects as a 2nd baseman and I'm sure still a first rounder for now. could start to fall if he doesn't stop swinging at bad pitches.

He was drafted in the 29th round because he told the pro teams that of he wasn't first round, then he was going to LSU. He would have been a top 10 round pick otherwise.

at the plate yes, his freshman year he hit over .400 and he isn't even hitting .300 this year, and he isnt as strong in the field as people make him out to be. he is a very good player, but people put to much on the kid last year which made him overrated. not saying he isnt good or isnt the best player on the team just people put him on to high of a pedestal last year and its almost impossible for anyone to live up to that.

Small for what? 6'0 190 is right around the average of an MLB shortstop... It may even be a bit bigger than average. And Bregman just turned 20.

has average power

Most shortstops do. Last MLB season there were only 4 shortstops that had more than 20 HRs. There were only 11 shortstops that had more than 10 HRs. He definitely has 10+ HRs per year power which is above average.

He should play third. Maybe he won't overthrow 1B so much from way over there.

All hitters go through slumps. I would rather Bregman have his slump now than at the end of the season like the whole team last year.

Pretty irrelevant because Bregman basically has zero chance of playing shortstop in the big leagues.

The 29th round pick means nothing.

He still projects as a 2B in the next level and is still a future 1st rounder unless his game completely folds over the next year and half. Bregman has well above average tools yet has been pressing at the plate for roughly 3-4 weeks...nothing more nothing less.

He will come out of this slump, he's too talented of a player and works too hard on his game not to.
