NASL gotta be like "shite, all our best teams be gettin poached!"
*edit* just read the article in full and saw that Arthur Blank will be the owner.
So will he buy the Silverbacks name or are they pretty much about to get squeezed out by MLS?
It starting to seem like MLS is trying to kill the NASL with how they have partnered up with the USL Pro are gobbling up the biggest markets NASL operates in.

Well as an Atlantan I'm excited to see how it goes but my hopes are not high.

I'd consider Montreal Impact moving up to MLS pretty recent.
Atlanta, Montreal, a second NY team/middle finger to the Cosmos, and likely the San Antonio Scorpions in just a few short years is a pretty big blow to NASL IMO. On top of that the Cosmos endgame is obviously to get into MLS as well.
My guess is MLS has taken notice of NASL being cap free and wants to nip them in the bud before they gain any real nationwide traction.

I would assume this. They already have to work pretty hard to sell tickets, and attendance was putrid pre-Wynalda. I received three-four calls/e-mails during the offseason, and I only ever buy single game tickets.
ETA: I would imagine that the ownership group would be pretty hesitant to sell. They have ties to Atlanta and had a pretty large vision for what the club, well stadium at least, would become. We'll see.

FC ATL will play home games at Hartsfield-Jackson Terminal C to accommodate visitors from around the south as well as stranded passengers which will help grow the brand.

SA is gonna get that 3rd Texas team b/c they already have a stadium in place and ready to go.

I thought SA was already confirmed, that and SA and Austin are to close for them both to have a team.

I dont think they are officially confirmed.
its kind of like how Beckham is going to get a Miami franchise but its not officially official yet b/c they dont have a stadium deal completely locked down.
