Similar to that. I have a ton of doorknobs all in cheap arse brass. These are under $15 each and all keyed to match.

Includes all hardware except hinges which I fixed by spray painting (and saved nearly $100 in new hinges!)

Those shitty builder grade knobs are something else..i would say better than 50% of them were crumbling (super cheap plastic on the inside) when I unscrewed them.

These new ones are inexpensive, but have the top reviews at amazon and they're all metal and look so much better.

It honestly makes my house look completely different.

two thumbs up for rubbed oil bronze

PS Here's the ebay link (also at amazon) to this brand. They have 4 or 5 styles so pick the one you like the best.

THey're on amazon too, but cheaper on ebay because the seller will let you order everything you need and then one $5 flat shipping on top. Amazon charges $6 shipping for each knob.

BONUS: they come with a allen wrench to reverse them so that saves money or your head from exploding trying to make sure which way they need to go on your doors.

Im confused. You spray painted new knobs in oil rubbed broze paint?

Eta - I get it, you sprayed the hidges only. I was gonna say thats a really bad idea to spray paint your knobs.

how does that spray paint look. I am having a hard time finding the correct hinges for mine. You are correct, the pulls, handles, and knobs make a huge difference.

I wouldn't complain about shitty builder grade doorknobs while you're spray painting hinges.

And your oil rubbed bronze is going to rub off. I know.

And now you've caught up with the trend that was hot 10 years ago.

I just painted the hinges and no.. Nothing will rub off because they never get touched.

Thanks for a reply that added nothing to this thread.

Why? The hinges are great. Just the wrong color. A $2 bag of 000 steel wool to scuff them up a bit and hit both sides with the rubbed bronze spray.

Protip: just remove the hinges one at a time to paint and you dont have to remove any of your doors which makes the process even easier.

it's a bluetooth lock.

All you need is your phone in your pocket, you tap the knob with your finger and it locks/unlocks.

You can txt "keys" to slampieces and take them back whenever you want. Great way to break up

"Hey my phone won't unlock your door anymore"

"yeah I gave your key to someone else, lata"

Yeah I spray painted my kitchen cabinet hardware and couldn't be happier with the results. It took me a summer to redo the kitchen, but all in all, I did it for under 1k. I'll snap some photos and post them in another thread. The before and after is pretty substantial, maybe it will help someone else before they rip out cabinets and waste money.

Until you lose your phone after you have gotten used to not having the key. Or you kill your battery.

Get the number passcode deadbolts.

That paint looks awesome. I work for a door hardware supplier and have an electronic keypad lock on back door. It was brushed chrome and my wife wanted to do it in bronze. Told her I would get a new one but one day about 6 months ago she took it off and sprayed it with this type of paint. I had my doubts, but it looks exactly like mfg bronze version of the lock. Actually had the factory rep at the house (also a family member) and he says "when did you order the bronze keypad".... He was shocked when I told him it was spray paint. So far it has not rubbed off any....Not to say that it won't eventually. But it's going 6 months strong and is the only door we use to enter/exit the house so it gets a ton of use.

Also built a shed outside and instead of buying the more expensive bronze hinges & latches for it we bought standard SS and sprayed it. It looks perfect as well.

But like I said, I'm sure one day it the parts that get touched a lot will eventually start to rub off but as for now it's good to go. I would definitely recommend for anything that doesn't get touched often. The quality & color of the paint is great.
