The Miss State website shows Poche pitching on Friday night and Nola pitching on Saturday. I can't find anything on the LSU website. Have tickets to Friday night's game and was expecting/hoping to see Nola pitch. I hope the Miss State information is wrong.

Probable Starters

Friday – RJr. LHP Ross Mitchell (5-1, 1.55 ERA) vs. Fr. LHP Jared Poche’ (5-2, 2.61 ERA)
Saturday – Jr. RHP Trevor Fitts (2-1, 3.09 ERA) vs. Jr. RHP Aaron Nola (5-1, 0.55 ERA)
Sunday – TBA vs. TBA

Conceding game 1 and not playing any other game b/c of weather? Awesome strategy

This is so fricked up. These pitchers have a weekly routine based on they day they pitch the weekend. Then, the day before game one after they've both gone through their usual bullpens/long toss/short box, you flip their throwing days? HOLY frickING shite!

ETA: Not to mention that one is a Freshman who's already had one bad experience partly due to a last-minute change.

Yea this is fricking retarded. No reason to take Nola off the mound Friday night. We have trouble winning games as it is, why play cat/mouse?

I'll retract my melt if we hear otherwise, but this looks like a reaction to Miss St.'s move which happened today.

If he's worried about nola pitching 2 innings then the game getting suspended for rain then it makes all the sense in the world.

seems like he wants to give nola the full week's rest...but, you have to change it back at some point.....or make him the Saturday starter. there are NO off weekends.

Doesnt make sense. If you think there is going to be weather you schedule Nola and then scratch him closer to game time so his start doesnt get interrupted. Mitchell is really good I would think we would need Nola in that one.

How many pitches did Nola throw Saturday?

You highly doubt we'll hear different or that he did this for pitching matchups?

At least their Friday guy Preston Brown isnt pitching. I was looking forward to a Nola/Mitchell matchup.
