Campaign ad? No thanks, how about a music video: Forrest Dunbar, a 29-year-old candidate for Don Young's long-held seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, has taken an unorthodox approach to the usual humdrum of the Alaska political campaign season and released a music video in which he channels his inner Weird Al and parodies the 1986 hit "Your Love" by the Outfield. The parody features lyrics like "I got many ways I can work for you/I'll be there when you're in trouble/Alaska, I'd do anything for you/Give me a chance and you'll discover/I just wanna earn your vote tonight!" Though the video is lighthearted, Dunbar is a serious candidate -- he's a lifelong Alaskan with a law degree from Yale, a master's from Harvard, and has worked as a firefighter, commercial fisherman, and on Capitol Hill, including a stint interning for former Sen. Frank Murkowski.
