Looking for another good inexpensive pump shotgun.

Remington 870

or

Mossberg 500

I'll hang up and listen. TIA

Honestly, I'd take a Nova over an 870 Express

Mossberg, if you're willing to pay for the 590.

I agree. My supernova has been great. Price was about the same as an 870 super mag with the same finish when I got it too.

Handgun

The 870 is their bread and butter. Nothing fancy, just a rock solid all purpose shotgun. Click - boom every time.

I got mine in 2007 I believe it was, has held up great, I haven't been too abusive to it but I really like the gun. Only complaint is weight but that's comparing it to my brother's 870 wingmaster and only bothers me when rabbit hunting.

Got both and will say 870. But I bought a moss 500 years ago when I was in a hurry for a squirrel hunt and didn't have time to go back for my 870. I have put that gun thru hell and back and she keeps on going. No complaints on either. Probably can't go wrong with either.

Out of curiousity...what is the gun being used for?

Home defense...bike gun...what?

My el cheapo mossberg maverick 88 which is a made in mexico special will fire and cycle just fine when caked with mud.

Google after market parts for the 870. You can make it in to whatever you want. No other shotgun has more options.
