Question about the Godfather 2

How exactly did Fredo help Roth and the Rosati Bros? Unless I missed something, they don't really explain it. I know Fredo says they lied to him and he didn't know it was going to be a hit, but what did he do exactly? Give them a blue print of the house so they knew where Michael's bedroom was?

I don't know, but Fredo was making cocktail waitresses two at a time.

they don't ever reveal what info he gave them. It's all speculation that maybe he left the blinds open in Michael's room, giving guard locations, giving room locations, etc...

As per his wiki entry in the godfatherwiki
Nick Geraci, now seeking revenge against Michael Corleone, met with Don Vincent "The Jew" Forlenza, the Don of Cleveland, and discussed how Fredo could fit into their plans to take down Michael. The deal with Hyman Roth had now reached a stalemate, and they figured Fredo could be used as a pawn to let Hyman Roth succeed. If Fredo was told they could help him with his Colma vision, he'd do anything to help. Fredo met with Johnny Ola and supplied him with all the information they needed, especially financial information, about the Corleone family. Fredo ambiguously claimed that his goal in that deal was simply to get something for himself, on his own, and swore that he did not realize he was being used as part of a larger plot to kill his brother. However, in the event of Michael's assassination, Fredo would likely have led the Corleone family, at least as a figurehead.

If he didn't know it was gonna be a hit, why would he give a blueprint of the house?

Fredo knew what he was doing, anything he says after the fact was just trying to cover his arse. At best he had selective reasoning and even then in the back his mind he knew.

No, I choose to believe that Fredo was just fricking stupid.

Outside of Sofia Coppola, Godfather III wasn't that bad.

It's certainly a mix of both but Fredo was promised a bigger cut and jumped on it. He didn't have the brains or the balls to pull a coup hunself

This. Fredo was jealous of his brother and had felt passed over by his father. Watch the scene with Mike and Fredo in the boat house when Mike is questioning him. Fredo lays out his reasons for doing it right there. The execution doesn't matter, it's the purposes behind it and Fredo lay's it out right in that scene.
One thing I did love is the Talia Shires character...the corleone sister. As the movie's progress, she goes from Spoiled brat to matriarch of the family replacing her mother. If you notice, Connie starts having influence and power over her brother,a common cultural thing in Italian families. You respect mamma.

Agreed. But its become culturally 'cool' to hate on III.
Is it as good as I and II? No. But its not bad, and still canon.
