Most of what we think is pitching is actually defense. And the Rangers will have an excellent defense. I'm not saying that losing Yu doesn't hurt, it does, but I really think this team is going to be good at run prevention and even with all of the injuries, still has a clearly better lineup than last year.

Yep. I'm just hoping Elvis will return to being Elvis at SS soon. Not getting his ST reps set him back a bit. And not having a steady middle infield could get ugly. Need to get that rapport going... Elvis and Kins were one of the best tandems in baseball the past few seasons.

In the past four seasons, Ian Kinsler has only posted a Range Factor above league average once. While he's been justly criticized for his bat, he's gotten a free pass for his mediocre glove. He's not a bad defender, but he's nothing special. I'm not a fan of his, and am thrilled he's been traded.
Honestly, I will go completely against the sabermetric consensus on this one, and state that the Rangers didn't just win the trade with the Tigers, they will win it in a blowout.
