Other than Christmas day, today has/is/will be the most talked about day of the year.

Why?

It's my birthday. One more day and I could have been a real fool.

Isn't today the Obamacare sign-up deadline?

You're right, I knew there was something else of importance today. Like they say, the mind is the first thing to go.

I thought they already gave one into April - go to the site, pick a plan, click the new "delay" button and you get a couple extra weeks.

With the site down, I guess they'll extend it into May now. They're not looking for paying customers anyway, just want more plans in the carts to count as enrollees.

The extensions and waivers will continue to extend to November of 2016, bet the bank on that one.

CNBC's ticker this morning said that "Enrollments" may reach 7m

So they have averaged 900k/mo over the past 6 months and were set to miss 6m just 1 month ago, but all of a sudden they are going to hit 7m?

There is another noteworthy point about this date besides your birthday and the Obamacare sign up deadline.

It's also the deadline for me to donate:

From OFA :

Friend --

We've got our biggest fundraising deadline of the year at midnight tonight.

It looks like you haven't chipped in yet.

Look, I know that doesn't mean you don't care about fighting for change -- we can't all make a donation every time a fundraising deadline rolls around.

...end of email.

Oh well, guess I'm gonna miss another deadline. But Happy Birthday!
