Are there any masculine NPR anchors or hosts?

I know, trivial topic is trivial, but whenever I tune in to NPR and there is a male host he sounds like an effeminate dweeb.

I will admit I don't listen often. Does NPR ever do anything that celebrates capitalism or 'traditional' American ideas? Any shows I should check out to get some benefit from my portion of its existence?

Nina Totenberg is as masculine as it gets on NPR. I heard she got Guy Raz in a headlock over an empty coffee pot in the break room.

"Car Talk" is about as macho as NPR gets.

Great show. Fresh Air is usually interesting. Intelligence Squared, Neuropod, some of the local music programs. Better than listening to repetitive pop rock on the way to work.

Mostly I hear normal, but very articulate, radio voices. Perhaps that qualifies as effeminate where you come from.

Your question lacks so much sense that it's impossible to respond to.

Try listening to Democracy Now. I'm pretty sure all the males have to be mentally castrated before they are allowed to speak into a microphone.

Lighten up a touch. Thread was made half tongue in cheek at NPR's expense.

I listen to alot of radio. CBS, ABC, Fox, etc. Most male radio voices don't sound like they just received a manicure like the NPR crew.
