So I am moving to Atlanta in a few weeks and I figured why not get on the waiting list for SEC football championship tickets. Apparently, the waiting list for the 2014 championship tickets ended on December 31st. I have to sign up in September this year to get on the list for the 2015 SEC Championship.

I am thinking that is a little crazy far in advance and am hoping there is a better way to get on the waitlist than waiting 2 years.

I know I can buy tickets on Stubhub or wherever but I would like to not have to deal with all that crap and inflated prices every year. Anybody know a better way?

Call the ticket office and try to get on the waiting list. Rinse. Repeat.

That's the way they've done it for over a decade. Very few seats open up each season. But at least it's a free waiting list you can sign up on each year, and the only way to get face value renewable seats.

When UK plays State this year in Atlanta, they'll be plenty of tickets available from sad Gumpers.
