Colbert about to get the Duck Dynasty treatment

I haven't seen it, but I'll take a wild guess and say that this has something to do with the California Affirmative Action bullsh!t. Colbert probably made a lame attempt to mock the Asians who believe that they will get screwed by it.

I might tweet later just to voice my disapproval.

Nothing whatsoever will come of this.

Asians as a group aren't perpetual victims.

Outliers may be involved, its probably getting hijacked by a bunch of GOP loving Colbert haters.

eta: yep. The hashtag is a bunch of conservatives claiming it's hypocrisy to not be offended and then a bunch of liberals calling this conservatives stupid.

Found only 3 Asians on #CancelColbert and all 3 were in support of Colbert.

i doubt that happens, since apparently the whole blow up wasn't actually done by colbert but instead by a staffer.

Read the tweets. Its mostly people who dislike Democrats and probably just dislike Colbert already. Very few asians have come out as offended by Colbert.

Two things:

First, trackfan is correct that Colbert is mocking right-wingers. What trackfan neglects to add is that Colbert UNFAIRLY mocks conservatives, because he is implying that racism and bigotry is rampant amongst those on the Right, and that is simply bullshite. Colbert is no better than some jerk like Bill Maher when he engages in that.

Secondly, Colbert will absolutely not receive the Duck Dynasty treatment. He is a liberal, and liberals rightly perceive him as such. He will be just fine.

This is no different from Joe Biden or Harry Reid describing Barack Obama as a clean, articulate Negro. They can say something stupid like that, but John Boehner would lose his career if he had said something similar.

It's all one big shell game, folks.
