Thought I'd throw out a question on one of my favorite shows in honor of tomorrows 15th anniversary of the 1st episode (thanks Facebook for letting me know that bit of trivia).

What do you think of all the later revisiting they did of earlier scenes? Heck I think they went back to the cryogenic chamber several times - nibbler being involve, tipping the chair over, nibbler, etc. etc.

In your opinion, did these enhance the show? Were they clever at first but then got kind of tired? Or should they have stayed way from them altogether?

Absolutely. Contemplated future plot development that you never notice until it happens is awesome.

Futurama is flawless and perfect in every way.

So they were not a mistake and were, in fact, brilliant.

Isn't there a shadow in the first episode?

The only thing that really changed was the car horn from the final season. Nibbler was always involved (you can see his shadow in the pilot).

They won an Emmy with "Roswell that Ends Well" (where Fry becomes his own grandfather) as the submitted episode.

All of the ones they did in older episodes were great, but in one of the new seasons I thought the Bender backstory where Hermes saves him in the factory was a bit much.

Leela: "We'll hide in here and pretend to shower."
Fry: "Just like every day - got it!"

Yeah. The Nibbler shadow was a brilliant piece of pre-planning.

I have read some stuff about the fact that some alternate time travel Frey went back and spent like 12 years in the past and maybe up to 10 of them with his dog Seymor thus kind of undoing a lot of the power of Jurrasic Bark. But I haven't seen that in awhile so I can't say for sure.
