It should give some relief to the people waiting in the 2 hr line at Dairy Queen.

There's no Dairy Queen in Lafayette...is there?

There was when I was a kid, but I haven't seen one there in at least 6 years or so.

Just opened across from Acadiana Mall. And yes the Lafayette PD had an officer assigned security for the first week it opened. Sonic is less than a mile down the road. Confusing

Nothing even competes with the Blizzard for fast food desserts.

Until Taco Bell finally has the Choco Taco...

Yeh, I ate at the one in college station the other day. It was pretty good and had a good local craft beer selection.

I'm sure I'll try Grub burger. I'm always open to new places coming to Lafayette.

And I like DQ, but mainly for their desserts. I can't wait to get an ice cream cake.

It'll die down over the next few months. The people of Acadiana are just binging after the long wait since they closed the multiple DQ's that used to dot the area. There used to be one at practically every exit on I-10 from Henderson to Lake Charles. They closed most of those when I was in middle school and high school. It's nice to see they brought one back to Lafayette, the best small city in America.

They will have a lot of competition on that corner. Burgersmith and others right there. Great location though next to River Ranch. Hope they do well
