Balthasar Hubmaier. 16th century leader/writer who was martyred by the Catholic church for heresy. They tortured him into a recantation the first time they arrested him. He held strong the second time and they burned him at the stake.

No shite. He was basically a guy that didn't like infant baptism and was martyred. Not sure why that specific martyr of that time period is someone's hero.

My dad. He has survived:
2 Heart Attacks, Stents, Bypass, Open Heart to place an artificial valve, Multiple strokes, Left Side Hemiplegia, Left Side Shoulder replacement, Left Leg Stabilization (they put a steel rod in it after he broke both bones in the lower leg), Stomach Ulcers, Enlarged Prostrate, Kidney Failure.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. And he is still kicking.
