I would say, based on nothing but my opinion alone, that tipped workers are definitely more hardworking than regular minimum wage workers.

If a waiter's claimed tips for the work period do not average $7.25 an hour, then the employer has to make up the remainder.

And a waiter who can't average $5.12 an hour in tips either sucks or the restaurant is dead.

I wish they would pay checkout people at walmarks and grocery stores by their rate of checkout and accuracy.

This was definitely not true when I was a waiter. Though I only had one shift where it would have mattered.

CNN can't post facts like this.

The most overused line in television anymore. Seriously, it's not "BREAKING NEWS" if it's not that earth-shattering and/or you broke the news 2 hours ago.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but to me, "BREAKING NEWS" is reserved for things like airplanes flying into buildings or a presidential election being called. Our local news in Little Rock literally used that phrase every...single...night for inane things like city council meetings and things of that nature.

It's not like people could live off of $7.25 either; maybe college or high school kids but i can't imagine an adult living on that wage.

CNN has become a straight up propaganda machine. They absolutely refuse to talk about Russia or anything damaging to the President's image, so they're on 24 hour plane crash watch.

They were even worse during the Trayvon farce.

It's not based off the shift. It's based off the pay period.

I have no sympathy for waiters because I never get great service. There are places where you don't have to work for tips. Because you choose to work for tips doesn't entitle you to make them. You should still have to work for them. Taking an order isn't any different than a fast food worker taking my order. And bringing my food to my table isn't exactly that hard either. Whataburger employees do it without tips. You gotta do more than that if you want my sympathy.
