I think it's time we fondly look back at the night we won the lottery and the #1 pick. Remember the memories and immortalize them on PT before details are forgotten.

I'll never forget winning the lottery that night. Screaming at the top of my lungs in my house of 3 different apts "ANTHONY BLEEPING DAVIS BISHES" about 20x, high-stepping around, and making DX gestures at the TV. I even slept with this little fluffy basketball pillow that night cradled in my arms like a little kid (no, not even close to ashamed of admitting that). My GF took a picture of me sleeping and titled it "Eric dreaming of Anthony Davis". And no, not ashamed of how homo-erotic that sounds either.

I was with you until the fluffy basketball pillow part. It's cool if you're not ashamed, doesn't me I can't judge.

I'm not gonna leave out details that seem stupid just cause PT will think they're lame.

That was the best thing to happen that entire NBA season, and I spent the whole year going to games watching us get blown out and not close games late.

Screw it. A grown man sleeping with a basketball pillow one time in memory of winning the best asset out of college since KD/LBJ. Don't care.

I was stoned and drunk in Denver and somehow made it into this dingy sports dive bar off of Colfax Ave about 10 minutes before the lotto and had to beg the bartender to turn it on. I celebrated pretty hard in there and bought everyone a shot. I was decked out in Hornets gear and spent the evening at a Rockies game. Good times.

I was at work. It was pretty gay. I got mad drunk after my shift though.

I was at the gym on an exercise bike. I started fist pumping like crazy when we got the pick. Everyone looked at me like I was nuts.

I was listening in my car and made it home just before the announcement. I screamed . . . exactly, Holy Motherfricking shite . . . even got my wife excited (shut up, hat). I remember the Bensons going up on the stage with Monty and Rita and Gayle smooching Monty. Everyone was so pumped and this board was nuts

I was at a camp where I couldn't have my phone or anything. My dad knew someone working at the camp who could have a phone and he had them relay the message to me. When I read the text off their phone, I was jumping up for joy like a kid on Christmas morning.

I remember Thomas Robinson (TRob)saying he deserved the #1 pick and he wan't buying the "AD hype" and wasn't impressed. He also bragged he had no competition for rookie of the year.He was pissed that AD had won PoY, and was the most decorated player in history for 1 season.

I know they ask Calipari which would be the better pro since the experts said TRob had the NBA body and was most ready to make an impact. Of course Cal would support his player, he said "it is not fair to compare him with Anthony Davis, because it isn't even close"
I was watching from home when the Hornets at the time won the lotto, thank God they took AD.
