Comixology is what I use. If you have a tablet, it works awesomely on it.

there are 2 compendiums out which I think are the first 96 issues, pretty cheap.

I've seen them on iBooks if you have an iPad or iPhone. I need to give them a shot. Like the show and heard good things about the comics. I've just never read comics and don't know what to expect.

I'm 12 issues in. I have to ask, do they get MUCH better? This has to be one of the worst written series I've read in a long time. I have no idea how people stomach the comics.
The characters are even dumber than the show, the writing is all over the place, and I'm wondering if Kirkman knows what real conversations sound like. The dialogue is so bad. Please tell me it gets light years better.

yes it gets great. You're about to get to the point where it finally finds its stride. The first couple of runs were just ok. And it is waaaayyyyy better than the boring drivel that the show pumps out.

You can get them cheaper than that on Amazon, but he's looking for digital copies and not the volumes.

Damn amazon is way cheaper. If you're looking for digitals, try torrents (I duck as anti torrent folk sling shite my way)
