The Lakers, Sixers, Bucks will probably be looking for another coach.

Yep. Not a good time for this team to start to gel.

Wouldn't a team have to trade for him since he is under contract?

There are only a handful of coaches teams would be willing to trade players for. Monty is not one of them.

Assuming he gets fired, as a Head Coach, 0%. I do believe he'd have a lot of interest as an assistant though.

1) He's not getting fired and no team is going to trade for him, so he will be here next year. At least to start the year.

2) If he is fired, I would think someone would take him as an assistant ASAP. I think he'd have to wait around for another head coaching job.

3) Didn't the 76ers just hire a coach this past year?

4) I think the Lakers will want to make a splash hire.

Yeah. Head Coach to Assistant really isn't that uncommon in the NBA. Monty's mentor Nate McMillan is currently an assistant with the Pacers after getting fired from Portland.
