Lou Tepper absolutely ruined what had been a pretty good LSU defense at a school that historically prided itself on fielding good defenses.

Javi Sanchez has been underwhelming in his role as hitting coach at the school that originated the term "Gorilla Ball".

Is it really so much of a reach to compare the two?

I know, I know...DIAF, Germans, GTFO, ban...

Well it's a fricking stupid comparison. Don't make dumb shitty threads if you don't want dumb shitty responses.

Yes it is. We were actually a pretty good hitting team last year in case you forgot.

In 2013 LSU led the SEC in hits (722), doubles (128) and total bases (1,023).

We were also No. 2 in the league in batting average (.305), runs scored (439), RBI (394), home runs (47), on-base percentage (.389) and slugging percentage (.432).

Have we put together two season back to back where we a good hitting team? I'm not seeing that.

I see your stats, and they are good counter arguments. But I remember watching LSU vs Stoneybrook and wishing LSU could trade hitting coaches.

Those guys all knew how to work the count and not swing at bad pitches. When Stoney worked the pitch count up on our starters, they just teed off on our relievers.

That's how I remember it.

In baseball, Jimmies and Joes >>>>>>>>>> Xs and Os. You tards really give way too much significance to hitting coaches at this level. Either you can hit or you can't, the difference between the best college hitting coach and the worst is minimal.
