I'm in a online league and have been shopping AP(I have the Vikings obviously). Somebody offered Barkevious Mingo(94 OVR) and a 6th for AP. I am seriously considering this trade(it's 2015 btw) because it would clear some cap space and give me a much needed position. Would you do this trade?

Oh, I've tried. He won't budge past the 6th.

Best RB in the league for a rookie LB and 6th? No.

AP + your 6th for Mingo and a 2nd. You already don't have a QB and now you won't have a RB

Unless Freeman is decent on there

It's 2015 and I have Teddy Bridgewater and Jake Locker. Barkevious is 94 OVR now. AP is 96.

I would do the deal, RB's decline really bad in Madden 25. They can drop 5-6 overall in a year.

no less than a 4th rd pick you can find gems in the 4th but 6th that's a hell no..you can put AP on the market in the preseason and get a better offer from a cpu team

Depends what the rest of your LB core looks like, as well as how will your offense play out without AP.
I'd accept that trade depending on what other offers you can get, and how will he improve your defense. If you have a decent backup HB then I say deal. If not, weigh other options. I'd take Mingo based on speed alone since it's most expensive trait. You can easily upgrade block shed and that type stuff. Pretty much what I'm saying is if your linebacker core is half arse decent, I'd decline especially if Gerhart is your backup. Also weigh in cap space and how many more contract years are left. Don't trade a guy with a fresh deal for a guy.who becomes a free agent after the season. He could potentially go back to the team you got him from and all your left with is a 6th round pick and a finger in the arse

I had to quit reading. That is absurd and your league is silly

It's a madden league ... It gets worse though. I've seen Terrelle Pryor and Brock Osweiller all in the low 90's by year 2. I'm not surprised with Mingo being a 94. Also just because his rating shows as a 94 doesn't mean he's actually a 94; based on how he'd fit in your scheme. I've seen Suh drop to a 71 in one league, just because he didn't fit the system

I'm trying to figure out why the frick Brock Osweiller is so highly overrated in the game. What the frick has he ever done in the NFL or college for that matter to warrant such a huge rating potential? there was a dude in one of my Madden 14 leagues who traded Peyton Manning in a blockbuster deal and started Brock because of his A Potential and his like 99 throwing power. He lit up the scoreboards with Brock who was like a 72 OVR or something like that.

Nah.. For some reason he benched Peyton. I guess he was planning for the future by getting Brock some xp this year, to go towards next year. Really not a bad idea.

This guy tried to trade Peyton to the Cards but failed because he wanted too much. Then the guy with TP, threw for 927 yards on CPU controlled Bengals. Users who played him in season 1 said he did not but corner routes and streaks. (Traded away half his defense for Percy Harvin.) Superbowl was Broncos vs Redskins, ended up in a 42-9 blowout win. Peyton didn't play a single down, and Raiders ended up getting kicked by league vote

But in this guy's case, he can have 84 Keke Mingo, but his team's defensive scheme makes that rating jump to a 94. Being that he's in year 2, who knows.

I hate shite like that. That's why I almost feel the need to run any league I am. I hate idiots who abuse shite because they know the game engine is poorly developed and not indicitave of how things would play out in real life.

Anybody interested in joining a well established well-run league, check this out. Just browse it over if you have time. We rarely have turnover, but have been trying to find 2 steady owners. They've appointed 2 to take over, but they may not stick. We're in year 2018, about to head into the 2019 offseason. It's a good time to jump on the waitlist, if for nothing else to put your name out there for Madden 15. Sound like most of y'all are legit and sim style players so figured I'd post the link just in case y'all are bored and want to look at something. Lol.

And no, I would not do that trade.

Yeah, the engine works fine for offline stuff (if you consider this fine, lol). I can drop a 95 RB because his year 5, you have to resign him. Get a late (5-7) guy that has +90 speed/acceleration, and get him to +90 overall by year 3. Its pretty crazy.

Madden puts way too much emphasis on a handful of ratings to make players elite, especially in leagues that don't utilize the no-switch rule. In a league that doesn't utilize the no switch rule, I would trade away all of my top WRs, and just get guys who are fast as hell regardless of rating. Same thing with corners. As long as they are fast, who cares. QBs with throwing power is all that matters in these types of leagues as well.

I can't stand leagues that don't have no-switching implemented.

All of these theories work great for offline mode.

What is no-switching?
