Thinking of Re-watching Say Anything... Tonight: How Does It Still Stand Up?

This would be the first time for my kid. Think it'd be cool to introduce him to one of my favorite movies as a teenager (he enjoyed Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink).
Anyone re-watch recently (or for the first time, for that matter)? What were your thoughts?

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

It stands up real well, honestly. It gets the little details right, and Lloyd Dobler seems like a real person that Diane Court would actually fall for.

Wound up watching it. A lot of the jokes and details still stand up. Cool to see Joan Cusack, Eric Stoltz, Jeremy Piven, etc. My kid liked it.
That car scene with Lloyd and the pen in the car was still tough to take.

The crooked Dad subplot was always an unnecessary fail. Besides that, it was great. My 15 year old daughter wants to see it, we were just talking about it, apparently Lloyd Dobler and his jam box are still relevant in youth popular culture, go figure.

That's cool. I'd be interested to know if she enjoys it.
