From what I can tell on the unofficial standings, there are 3 perfect brackets left. There were 6 before Oklahoma State lost.

Interestingly enough, two of the three remaining have NC Central over Iowa State, and one has NC Central, SFA, and Providence advancing. Also, two of them have Mercer in the Sweet 16.

Updated - All three remaining perfect brackets had George Washington, so they are all done. That's it. 25 games in an no perfect brackets left.

I don't believe that. only 3 people have a perfect first round? ESPN and yahoo leagues usually have several people with perfect first rounds.

I think like 98% of the brackets on ESPN aren't perfect anymore either.

There's always upsets but this has been a pretty wild first round.

ESPN hasn't had a perfect first round in the last three years.

There are only 11 people who have 23/24 picks.

really?

I guess it just always seems like the leader after the first round is perfect. maybe I'm just remembering wrong.

Anyone know what the average public score/picks are at this point?

I'm 19/24, which probably isn't going to get me close to a $100,000 prize.

How close to perfect will you have to be to win one of the $100,000 spots?

LINK

ESPN has been running a contest since 1998, and none of the more than 30 million submissions has come close to perfection. Over the past three years, every entry (participants can file more than one) had missed at least one game by the end of the first round of 32 games.

you would think that because of the huge amount of brackets, someone would have some dumb luck and gotten a perfect first round

Looking at the brackets of those who are perfect shows how hard it is to have a perfect, but serious bracket. I mean one of the perfect brackets still has an 11,12, and 13 pulling off more upsets tonight. That is absurd.

I would like to know this too. I'm at 18/24, but I still have my entire sweet 16 left.

Just look at the leaderboard. There are 14 brackets that have at least 23 of 24 games right so far.

You can cut it by 16 if you count the 1-seeds as automatic
