1st team
G - Paul
G - Harden
F - Durant
F - James
F - Griffin

2nd team
G - Curry
G - Wade
F - George
F - Love
C - Noah

3rd team
G - Wall
G - Parker
F - Davis
F - Aldrige
C - Dwight

Honorable mention: Melo, Dragic, Dirk, Lowry, Bosh, Lillard, Cousins, Westbrook

Tough leaving George off the first team but his game has regressed slightly in the second half of the season and is listed as a forward. I think Dwight and Noah are interchangable on the 2nd team but it's hard to ignore what Noah means to a Chicago team that lost Rose and traded away Deng.

Wall, Lowry and Dragic was also tough. Dragic has the better PER but Wall's right there with him in scoring, averages almost 3 more assists per game and his team will be in the playoffs. You couldn't go wrong with either of them.

i know Noah doesn't put up the sexy offensive numbers, but the guy is a defensive beast. i hope he makes 1st team, but he probably won't.

In no world is he better than Blake Griffin.

So you're saying that you hope a guy that doesn't deserve to be 1st team All-NBA gets it over some guy or guys who do?

I guess I'm not at all following you then.

James
Durant
Griffin
Love

If you're hoping Noah makes it, you're hoping an extremely inferior player to those guys doesn't, just seems odd is all. I'd think people would want it to be done right and the most deserving guys get the spot.

Noah is, IMO, carrying the Bulls into the playoffs. he's more valuable to his team than Blake.

this is just my opinion. OP had him second team…how is it so ridiculous to think that perhaps he deserves first team?

Because as I said above, in no world is Noah remotely as good as Griffin. It's not even close.

Best way to answer that is, James is 1st team and Paul George 2nd. Is it so ridiculous to think that perhaps George should get 1st team over James or Durant? Yes, it obivously is. Same thing applies with Noah.

1st Team
G- Curry
G- Harden
F- Durant
F- James
F- Griffin

2nd Team
G- Paul
G- Wall
F- George
F- Love
F- Dirk

3rd Team
G- Lillard
G- Lowry
F- Davis
F- Noah
F/C- Dwight

Honorable Mention:

Parker, Dragic, Melo, Bosh, Aldridge, Cousins

Comments:
Curry over Paul for 1st team just because of games played. Dirk on 2nd team, he's going to go 50-40-90 and having the most underrated season. Lowry over Parker for 3rd team based on stats. I agree, Dragic, Lowry, Parker, Lillard are all deserving of 3rd team.

ETA- see aldridge now

defensively, Noah is better.

also, you're putting Griffin on the same level as LeBron and Durant

Well, the level we are discussing is 1st team All NBA. So based on the context of this specific conversation, Griffin is on the same level as them.

Tough to leave off Wade. He's been really good this season.

Guys who are better than Noah in the F/C role, just off the top of my head:

Howard
Griffin
Love
Aldridge
Davis

Then if you're lumping in all forwards, add James, Durant, Melo, Dirk, Bosh.

All these guys are better than Noah.

Yea. He's definitely been better than Harden, or any other SG in the league, unless I'm completely whiffing on someone.

I haven't looked at how many games he's missed, but that may make it valid for him to be left off.

I wouldn't go that far. While he has been really efficient, Harden averages 5 more points, 1 more assist, the same amount of boards and steals per game. Wade has the better fg%, Harden is better from the line and from 3. Their PER is practically even. Plus when you factor in durability I think it's pretty clear that Harden gets the edge.

Paul
Harden
Durant
James
Noah

Curry
Wall
Melo
Griffin
Howard

Dragic
Wade
George
Love
Davis

All NBA teams still use the center position afaik. Melo's counting stats are too high to leave off. He's also 7th in PER, so it's not like he is inefficient.

Interesting.

In that case, Dwight Howard is still by far and away more deserving of 1st team than Noah, that's not even close.
