He's gotten them all over Texas and Louisiana, but I think that one was in Evangeline.

Honestly, I'm not sure how much I even blame the guy arrested...How about the system shut this shite down after 2 DUI convictions?

The fact that he isn't in jail after his 3rd is mind boggling.

I know a guy who got 4 in 6 months. He came to the bar the night he got out of jail for his last one and was crying because he was scared what was going to happen. I'm no angel, but I seriously started laughing at him during our conversation

I've said it before. As many politicians have a couple of glasses of wine or a few drinks then drive, they will never ever make priority to jail drunks. Furthermore, most judges are in the same boat. Drunks behind the wheel is a problem that is here to stay and its not mainly the fault of the drunks or the cops. This story in itself shows that the police have acted on this issue 7 times now at the taxpayers expense, but the judicial system hasn't done shite but has probably exhausted thousands of dollars housing and trying this arse-clown.

HIs two options are 1) plead alcolism and beg for rehab and mercy

2) leave the country

Sure, but why not install the breathalyzer on his car and require that he has it on every car he owns?

Or why not permanently suspend his license? Jail isn't the only option.

Sorry but no, jail is the only option. The lack of a license will not stop a drunk. Plus he can get around a breatalyzer on his car. so take his sorry, worthless, arse and throw him in jail and let his fricking rot like the piece of dog shite he is.
