Seems likes hes probably just wants to enjoy the process and see some other schools.

He jumped on his offer immediately and is coming in on the weekend. Both good signs

People are still going to be skeptical because he is a Karr kid though...

I'd be a waste for him not to explore some other places.

Exactly, if you have the chance to commit to your favorite school and have 5 visits paid for you, you would be dumb not to do it

No, you'de be dumb giving other schools exposure and letting them use you as bait with other recruits, whether you like it or not.

If you love LSU, commit and go to work helping recruit....all the other bs is just dumb IF you love LSU, IMO

I love LSU but I would definitely visit a few places. They are free vacations.

I agree I guess up to a point....I would NOT visit a strong rival or anyone in our division!
NO WAY I step foot on Bamas campus, for example.

Would you visit hated rivals of the college you love?

I could definitely see going out to USC.UCLA/Miami/Notre Dame, etc

I'd say taking visits is different than "opening it up"

Most important part of the story: "I'll be at LSU practice Saturday".

Unofficial visits aren't free are they? I thought the only free ticket was for official visits. BTW, Texas boards say he's visiting there.

LSU on Saturday, Florida March 29th, and Texas April 12th.

These are unofficial visits, I believe, so the transportation is on the player. Either way, they get the red carpet treatment once on campus. We will see if these trips actually take place.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with taking visits. I hope we are not planning to go through 10.5 months of various posters getting all upset that LSU commits may opt to visit other schools, like we did prior to this most recent signing class.

These players are allowed five school paid visits and most of them are going to take advantage of it even if they are already committed to a school.

Correct. These visits are on their own dime. "Official" transportation paid visits are not allowed until their senior year.

whether free or not, some kids want to be courted. makes them feel special and validates their idea of their talent level.
