I am in the middle of creating my own in-home Personal Training business. The next step is to create a logo. I need a good program or some software that would enable me to do this myself.

Any recommendations? TIA

If it's your business, pay a professional. Doesn't cost that much. Your face to your prospective customer. Don't scrimp.

I know a graphic artist. Just call him up and tell him what I am looking for?

Thanks again.

Helps if you have some concepts or themes in mind, maybe even some examples of what you like. The more you can give them, the easier (and lest costly) it will be.

Once you get your art work, there are tons of places that can print your collateral materials for you.

www.vistaprint.com is a pretty good, reasonably priced site for printing various documents if you didn't want to go local.

Here's a vector graphic of the logo.

In my mind, a program like GIMP is more suited towards photograph manipulation over logo creation. Adobe Illustrator or the free alternative - Inkscape - are more ideal for the creation of logos. But, as it was stated earlier it makes more sense to get it created professionally. Whether it's a friend that's a graphic artist or one of the MANY websites out there that so it for a nominal fee, that would probably be the best route.

Pay a graphic designer to do it. It's worth the money.
