Brennan: Where did he go to medical school?
Nancy: He went to Northwestern and Johns Hopkins, is that good enough for you?
Brennan: No, it’s not.
Nancy: Well, Brennan, those are very prestigious schools.
Brennan: I smoked pot with Johnny Hopkins.
Nancy: You don't know anyone named Johnny Hopkins.
Brennan: It was Johnny Hopkins and Sloan Kettering. And they were blazing that shite up every day.

TH who do you like this year? As long as it's not UVA I'm cool. I've disliked the Cavs since John Christmas and Matt Ward

I think Maryland is the strongest team right now. already pretty battle tested as well. they still have several tough games left against UNC, UVA, Hopkins, etc.
Denver is a sleeper, but they won't really be tested the rest of the season. the tourney could mess with them a lot
also Loyola is playing as good or better than anyone in the country right now, blowing out everyone, including Duke. they don't have the hardest remaining schedule, but it's not a cakewalk either.
I've got UNC as a contender as well, but I'm waiting to see them against Duke this afternoon before moving them up to serious contender.
my list is probably:
1. Maryland
2. Loyola
3. Denver
4. UNC
5. Hopkins
I just haven't been too impressed with Hopkins and I think they're too highly ranked based on beating no one.

I can get on board with Maryland although in my opinion Pontrello and Ward are just as good if not better than what Maryland has on attack.
Where did you play? I'm a Hopkins homer because my older cousin played for Dave P. and was roommates with Kyle Harrison (my favorite player) for two years.
I played two years at Boys Latin before transferring to a Howard County school. I played a year at Salisbury under Berkman before getting kicked out of school and finishing my undergrad at WVU..

I played in LA/TX. wish I played up north because I wouldn't gotten more offers than just D3 and one D2. I coached with some guys from Air Force and Towson though. one went to canisius then Syracuse.

what year did you graduate high school? I graduated in 2006 and they didn't even have the sport at my cousins spot in Charlotte. Glad to hear they had it in LA/TX, the sport is spreading.
I had a scholly offer from D1 schools like Hofstra and UMBC, but my high school grades were bad (talking like 2.1 GPA).
Salisbury took me be because a left-handed winger on attack is an asset. Once I got kicked out that school(I got a serious offense) I gave up the sport and went to WVU, and somehow graduated, being in StraightCashHomey21's fraternity..

2007. Texas has been pretty big for a while now. Louisiana started to grow around 2006 when New Orleans got a few teams. Jesuit is now a powerhouse.
Texas D1 teams usually send a few kids to decent D1 schools each year. they're pretty legit.

My buddy from Boys Latin got placed in Baton Rouge from his rehab consultant. He is now teaching lacrosse to the adolescents in the area.

Texas lax player here, graduated in 2007 from a Houston school. Played attack for 3 years, then midfield/FO for my last year. Played with a bunch of local guys that went D1 - Dartmouth, bucknell, army, etc.
