Here it is fowlkes, straight from the horses mouth.

What many on this board and throughout the nation have been telling you & I all the time, obama-scam was intentionally designed to break the insurance companies.

The obamacare architect is now warning “insurance companies as we know them are about to die,” and confirming the long-standing speculation that president obama’s Affordable Care Act always aimed to put private health insurance companies out of business.

quote:

“Be prepared to kiss your insurance company good-bye forever,” he said.

While it was the plan, they've pretty much taken away the teeth, and if elections keep trending the way they are currently...it will die on a vine. This morning it was revealed that you can claim a hardship with the premiums, and get around Obamacare altogether...Heck, the people it was supposed to help ain't even signing up..This whole thing is a turd.

The ACA which will eventually lead to single payer, probably delayed single payer for a while.

I wish nothing but terrible things to this guy as well as anyone that ever supported this sham of a bill.

I dunno bout that.

obamascam has got the American people pissed. I think it will be a long time before the American people will have the stomach for a full and complete takeover of our health care system.

Many believe that obamascam was designed to wreck the system and have the people clamour for government run health care.

I hope that it will have the opposite affect and we can get some real solutions to our health care delivery system.

I think it was more about allowing the insurance companies to have an excuse to raise rates for everyone. It was just another corporate welfare program.

The big insurance companies are already guaranteed a huge bail-out via obama-scam.

The insurance companies are going to be swamped by millions of sick, diseased, overweight, unhealthy people who have refused to take good care of their bodies.

The taxpayer is gonna bail out the big insurance fat cats(sound familar) while the average Joe & Jane are going to get stuck with outrageous premiums, looooong waits, and crappy health care.

This. Obama is just a corporate and union pawn. The rich get richer while the middle class gets smaller.

That's kind of confusing. So do you agree that it will cause a delay in single payer or do you think it will speed it up?

There's nothing better than having the insurance company as your middle man except having the federal government as your middle man.

Idea: how about we deregulate and get rid of all the fricking middle men if that's your choice?

I hope he is right. Selling across state lines will reduce the number of insurance companies to 3, same as in most industries.

But I don't think the Republicans will allow carriers to cross state lines.

Rog, when you talk about confusion, thats the whole modus operandi of the left. Cause massive confusion in society then come in and try to institute their sick twisted agenda on the people.

Now the million question is will this law speed up single payer health care or not.

We probably will not see single-payer for a while. The voters are in no mood for it. They have already seen the total screw-up that is called obama-scam.

If we can get a good conservative president in 2016 and a ggod conservative Congress and Senate to go along with him/her, I think we can make needed reform to get our health care delivery system going in the right direction.

I know that is asking a lot but I see no other way.

We know for certain that the ultimate agenda for the left is to control the masses, for decades they have been drooling over the prospect of controlling the populace through controlling their access to medical care.

We know that it has NEVER been about health care RATHER it has been about controlling people from cradle to the grave.

Steps down from soap box/

Hopefully insurance companies see the writing on the wall. That is, take advantage of the potential political environment now (or near future) that will allow for purchasing insurance across state lines or block that proposal and risk ceasing to exist while single payer gets implemented in 5-10 years.

A good competitive insurance environment would be very good for consumers. Hopefully our politicians can tell insurance lobbyist who want to continue the government/insurance crony relationship to f' off.

I'm not holding out much hope. History tells me that insurance company greed will lead to their demise and the statist will win with the elimination of the insurance companies and the implementation of single payer. Then the consumer is again f'd with another middle man, the federal government.

Someone please explain this hardship get around please. What does it matter if you can get an exemption from Obamacare if your present insurance doesn't exist anymore?
