Big 12 Bball Tourney Thread

i just figured if all these other shitty conferences have a thread, then the best conference in america deserves one. skipped yesterday because frick tcu and texas tech.
anyways, what a fricking fantastic quarterfinal slate on today. 7 tourney teams and an 8th (WVU) looking to make a run. k-state and iowa state locked up at the under 12 timeout right now. the best game of the day should be ku-ok state right after this one.

I think WVU is good enough to be a tourney team, unfortunately they have lost some real stinkers earlier in the year (looking at you, Purdue and VT).

i think if they make the finals, they have a shot at an at large since the big 12 is so damn stacked

TCU will win it all

They are already eliminated
0-19 in the conference
0-19 in the conference

I am surprised that we only lost by 8 last night to Baylor considering we had a 6'2 white walk on guarding 7'1 Isaiah Austin for half the game.
Is there a coach in the country that could have won with TCU's roster this year? I doubt it.
CENTER 6'10 Freshman Karvair Shepherd
GUARD 6'6 Senior Jarvis Ray
GUARD 6'5 Freshman Brandon Parrish
GUARD 6'5 Freshman Hudson Price
GUARD 6'2 Senior Thomas Montigel (Walk-On)
GUARD 6'2 Sophomore Christian Gore (Walk-On)
GUARD 6'1 Sophomore Clyde Smith (Walk-On)
GUARD 6'1 Freshman Michael Williams
GUARD 5'11 Junior Kyan Anderson
A 9 man roster, 6 scholarship players, one center, no forwards, and a bunch of guards who were asked to bang in the paint with the other Big 12 big guys? And of the 6 scholarship players, 4 were freshman.
Against Kansas 6'5 Freshman Hudson Price was asked to guard Joel Embid, just isn't a fair matchup
I doubt even Coach K or Tom Izzo could have won with that roster.

whose fault is it that he only has 9 men on the roster? I mean shite, bring in a couple JUCOs or something.
WVU only had 8-9 (can't remember which) scholarship players this year, and they turned in a winning record and went .500 in conference.

3 players went down with season ending knee injuries in the offseason, all 3 of them were big men at 6'9 or taller. That is why there is no depth in the post
Then we brought in UTEP Transfer Chris Washburn(who had a lot of offers out of HS) who is 6'8 and could have helped in the post, but his appeal for immediate eligibility was denied.
Transfer Trey Zielger was not eligible but was a McDonalds All American with offers from Duke, UNC, etc. he will start next year
Charles Hill Jr. contributed in non conference but was ruled ineligible in conference play due to grades, but he was a guard not a big man so wouldn't have helped in areas of need.
This situation wouldn't have been fixed by bringing in JUCOs, especially since all of the injuries happened in July and Washburn was being counted on to be ruled eligible.

kinda wanted k state to win but i dont really care. sucks that kansas gets the 1 seed and then draws the next 2 best teams in the conference on back to back days

DeAndre Kane is a douche.
When we played Iowa State this year he was cussing out his managers(not in a joking way) during warm ups, and then gave some profanity to one of his trainers. Guy had a really bad attitude.
Then when they were coming out of the tunnel before the game he stopped infront of our Showgirls/Cheerleaders locker room lounge that had an open door and checked them out for a good 10 seconds just staring them down
Guy is a chode

IDK when I played football at TCU we treated our managers and trainers with respect and were friends with them, they were one of us
Same with our basketball players, they are all friends and nice to eachother
Deandre Kane was treating his managers/trainers like the football players treated Bobby Boucher in the Waterboy.
"PASS ME THE frickING BALL! frick!"

I can't stand Oklahoma State or Travis Ford
Hope KU beats the tar out of them
Hopefully they fall off the map next year when Smart/Nash are gone
