Eh, I'd take either. I'll admit badass Shawn was better, but at least emo Shawn/Angela-ssessed Shawn added some gravity to the show and added a foil to the increasingly ridiculous Eric and Jack.

Eric became too stupid in the college episodes. Although I like the episode when he and Jack dressed in drag.

It'll be Disney and no time yet. It's created by the original BMW creator Michael Jacobs which is why i have high hopes he's writing the show.

The fact that it's on Disney channel and not ABC makes me leery. Could be really cheesy.

He could be writing, but for how long? These things have a tendency to get delegated to lesser individuals with time.

it's in the format of early BMW do you remember how cheesy those episodes were?

That's true and I wish Shawn was on this version, but I don't know if it necessarily kills the show (which is already an uphill battle to succeed).
What Eric became is just the typical family show character augmentation. He became psychotic because he gained a bunch of weight and wasn't the "heartthrob" anymore. There was so much melodrama with Shawn and Angela the silliness of Eric and Jack was almost necessary.

Well Shawn isn't necessary because the show is about Cory's kid. I'd love for them to have Uncle Playswithsquirrels every now and then though.

Disney is dumping shows right now. Good Luck Charlie is over, Shake It Up has ended, and ANT Farm is having its last episode sometime this month. Other than adding the Liv and Maddie show, they have to replace these. Girl Meets World will do so.
(I have 4 kids, ages 14-2, and one on the way. We watch a lot of Disney).
