Cactus League vs. Grapefruit League

If you have been to both sites which one do you prefer? And don't pick the site you prefer just based on which league your favorite team is in
I prefer the Cactus League because all of the teams are closer together. In Florida they are more spread out across the state but in Arizona they are all in the Phoenix Metro area.
Also I prefer Arizona in March to Florida.

This is the 2nd biggest reason that I will do Arizona when I finally do it (#1 reason is that the Reds are there).

Ive done the Cactus League several times. It is great. My Dad is a big Yankees fan so I think the next Spring Training trip I may check out the Grapefruit League

A thread like this starts every year around now. I think I started one once and was told "its been discussed!"
Anyway, answer always ends up being AZ if you want to see many teams in few days.

I'd love to spend a week traveling around going to diff training areas. Seems like it would be a very cool thing to do

It is definitely awesome to wake up and think "well all i have to do today is watch baseball and enjoy the beautiful weather."

I used to live right behind the phillies spring training facility (and home to their AA affiliate)... it was really a cool experience.
with that said, i've never been out to arizona, but i'd imagine the proximity of the clubs would make it better everyone.

My favorite team is in grapefruit as well as most teams I'd care to see. But the proximity of all the teams in cactus would make for a fun trip traveling to each one.

Been to both switching between the two for the past 10 years. I'll start with this, AZ gets the nod for me mainly because of what you said; the teams are all closer together and it's much easier to get variety of teams, stadium and atmosphere. Also the march weather in AZ is better for my liking. I will say that while the new (and old) stadiums in AZ are VERY nice, I feel as if I'm at a miniature regular season game, not a spring training game, if that makes sense. Spring Training has become to commerciallized IMHO and these new innovative stadiums are no help to that. It's lost it's intimacy with the game and players themselves from just a handful of years ago. These new stadiums are not really conducive to getting autographs or interacting with the players before/after games and at practices.
Still a great experience, and you cant really go wrong with either location, but I will say this: if you go to FL pick a few teams you are interstwd in seeing and try to find a central location to stay between the two. The teams are way to spread about a huge state to catch them all.

Dude, it isn't even close for the exact reason you stated. I live in Florida and love it but Tempe and Scottsdale are awesome and everything is so close.

I went from the Nationals to the Cubs. Space coast stadium was fine. Didn't think twice about the setup. Go tinted Cubs and everyone there is bitching about how rough they have it It was twice as nice as the Nationals.

This is what stings. It used to be so personal. As a kid I was having full blown conversations with Maddox and anyone else who would get done early and leave Joker Marchant. Now it's a fight to get any random autograph it seems, not that I'm doing that now.
If the travel is the same go to Arizona. Great stadiums. Easy travel. Fun place.
