1. WBRH 90.3 - Smooth Jazz
2. Downtown Radio 97.7 - 60s, 70s, some 80s classics. (Not your generic 98.1 BS)
3. KLSU 91.1 - Not all, but a lot of their shows are really good. Burnin' to Babylon with Rosebud on Sundays is

Honorable Mention: WHYR 96.9 - Community radio. Their afternoon programs usually play some good tunes.

Looking for some other stations in the area to start listening to so recommendations are welcome.

Only ones I listen to are 91.1 and 98.1.

98.1 is underrated. I heard Nowhere Man by Beatles on it the other day. I don't think I've ever heard the Beatles on 95.7 period.

98.1 is good if you want to hear Carry On My Wayward Son every 30 minutes.

It's only good for sports broadcast

I figured the selections were limited but I wasn't sure if there were any hidden gems. I discovered 96.9 not too long ago so I'll have to give it some more air time

I love 90.7 but why must the insist on playing only Mexican hat dance music all day Saturday?

Yea I'd say like 90% of the time I'm shuffling on my iPod but if I get bored I throw on the radio. I can't do country or rap on the radio and 98.1 is terrible so my options are limited.

I like the variety on 96.9. It's a serious mixed bag and that's cool. 91.1 is so hit or miss with stupid indie shite, but if you catch the right dj or show it's good. And I'll do some 97.7 when I need to get my Bee Gees or Abba fix. I was jamming the frick out of some Oh What a Night by the Four Seasons on there the other day.

97.7 plays Everybody Plays the Fool by The Main Ingredient so that's a big boost in my book

In reality, the only time I even bust out the radio is just to listen to 90.7 while in New Orleans.

iPod and XM have been a gift from the heavens

My aux cord is a piece of shite. I can't go 5 miles without the station getting interrupted.

So I've been rocking the Dumpstaphunk "Dirty Word" CD and Huey Lewis and the News "Sports" CD when I get bored of XM

Oh frick those FM transmitter things. I've been meaning to hook up an actual AUX cord but I don't feel like taking apart my stereo nor paying someone else to.

Nope just a student. I would've given a shout out to the Wednesday night jam show but I don't know if they still do it.

I enjoy it sometimes. My favorite OZ programs:
Morning set with Heavy D
Anything with Jelly Roll Justice
Any New Orleans music show during the day.

I stream WWOZ a lot at work. Would be nice if we caught that in BR.

Wish their signal didn't suck so bad. When I'm parked under powerlines shite gets fuzzy and sometimes 98.1 takes over. :
