For political junkies, the Louisiana legislative session is gold.

Bills are easier to understand compared to congress and the characters are, well, "interesting."

While I enjoy watching the train wreck, the parking becomes ridiculous. Legislators will have tons of parking areas blocked off for them, many of which will go unused. This morning I was greeted by a spot on the street blocked off, it was eventually taken by a food truck.

And then there's what I like to call "Old Crook's Day" where current legislators host all the former legislators by spending who knows how much on shite-tons of food and extra security. They also rope off an extra few dozen parking spots, of which about 10-20% get used.
