What's the longest you've waited for a pizza to be delivered?

I ordered a pizza at 1:20. They said it will be 30 minutes... so 1:50.

I waited until 2:20 and they hadn't shown up. So I called. They said they were behind but all the drivers were making deliveries and they'll be there shortly.

So I waited.

Pizza didn't get here until 3:15.

So after I placed the order, it took 1 hour and 55 minutes. Or 1 hour and 25 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered.

absolutely no way you should've paid full price or left a tip (if you did)

I've waited an hour and a half or more, but that was during a major sporting event (Super Bowl or NCAA championship).

2 hours on a random Saturday is ridiculous. I would've canceled or asked for a free one.

I can almost guarantee you that the driver had zero to do with the order taking that long.

Just under an HR. Didn't pay for it but tipped the driver $2.

Seriously. Ended up putting a frozen one in the oven. It just wasn't the same.

I can with certainty, barring a breakdown or wreck, the driver had nothing to do with it. Bottlenecks happen in 4 areas of the pizza delivery pizza model:
1. Not enough insiders/equipment failure
2. Not enough drivers
3. Road conditions/construction
4. Sheer sales volume on big holidays or sports events.

One time, I went to my friend's place in Metairie and we ordered dominoes, this was in like 2005. we were in the living room waiting and playing Grand Theft on the ps2, then all of a sudden without a knock, the pizza dude opens the door and just walks right in. Proceeds to say, "hey, is that grand theft auto that i hear?"..puts the pizzas on the table, sits down on the couch and says he has "next".

We've never seen or met the dude before. was kinda fricked up.

Hahaha on that note let's address delivery driver types:
1. College student works couple weeks at a time and stops showing up
2. Mid 20s stoner knows the area through and through, works a lot and is always dirty and... stoned.
3. Married dude realizing kids cost a fricking ton is delivering weeknights in his Honda Pilot to pay bills and thinks he knows everything.
4. Old dudes who stopped smoking weed but never quit pizza.
Eta 5. The occasional female. Disgusting tramps who are always smokers and stoners
