He's playing tonight at L'auberge

No clue how the venue is. I've never seen a concert there.

Buddy Guy is an absolute icon as a guitar player. If you ever watch him on stage with other guitarists, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, and even Clapton, they all take a back seat to Him when they're performing.

He commands attention and controls the stage.

8 p.m.-9:30. nice venue that sounds good. the band & performance was fine. most people sat on their hands all night. crowd didn't seem very excited until he walked out into it.

Wish I could have gone but 65 is a little much for a poor college student like myself.

I was actually a bit disappointed. The set was heavy on the showmanship and not enough of his music library. That said, it was a great venue and his rendition of "Skin deep" really demonstrated that he has not lost it at 77 years young.

Saw Willie Nelson last night and he can still play the shite out of the guitar at age 80. An acoustic.... With classical strings...

i'd like to see him include more songs in his set as well. his voice is as strong as ever. I think his vocal abilities are overlooked. he and Robert cray are outstanding singers.
at this point in his career, buddy's voice is better than his guitar work.
