No RomCom's please. Looking for something recent that we haven't seen yet, and we've seen most everything. Any obscure titles that netflix, amazon prime, or torrent can provide?

Mental: think a female "Crocodile Dundee" armed with a textbook of mental disorders meets "The Sound of Music" during "Shark Week".

"It's a Disaster"

"Submarine" (fringe romcom but REALLY good)
LINK /

"Mary and Max" (not many belly laughs, but one of the greatest animated films I've ever seen and non-stop chuckles)
LINK /

"The Castle"

Thanks for the suggestion. We enjoyed it. Wife is a social worker that loves movies like this. Big fan of Toni Collette, and Sound of Music so this was perfect for her. Had it's funny moments, awful moments, and a moment where I was unsure for a few seconds if I was watching underage pornography (I thought the oldest daughter was 17). Thankfully I was not. In reality the movie is a 2 out of 5 stars, if only because of the cheesy surfer bro. Perfect movie for us tonight though.

Shuts down some of the greatest movies of all time.

Have you seen It Happened One Night - technically a RomCom, but probably the first one ever, so the formula wasn't played out.

Clark Cable's best performance.

Of course it does, but we weren't wanting an older movie tonight.
