Let's discuss Black Sails

So far it's been a good, but not great show. The pacing is too slow and I'm still WTFing at plot lines deep into the season. With that said, this show has huge potential if done right.
Things I like:
Captain Vain
Jack
Setting
Mystery around Captain Flint
Things I don't;
Elanor, she's like a pirate Cersei
Silver, he's a homeless man's Jack Sparrow
Ms Barlow storyline-huge wtf for me

I've seen the first two episodes and liked it but then I dropped cable. I look forward to watching the whole series one day. But no, its not as compelling a story as Spartacus was, but much better than Camelot.

He's a good pick for they role. I really like Vain, he reminds me of a gladiator from Spartacus.

Watched the first episode and didn't really feel the need to continue. Which is a shame because I would really like to see a GOOD show about pirates on a premium channel/somewhere where there aren't any restrictions.

He is some dumb shite she is going to get killed to serve her own purposes.
Her storyline seems straight forward enough to me. She is a disgraced rich chick from England and wants Flint to get the treasure to bribe their way back into colonial society.

Been trying to watch this. I love the genre. Its really not engaging. Ms Barlow stuff bores me. Billy bones and Ann are the only one I was beginning to like.

I'm all #TeamVane. 
I'm interested in seeing if any of Silver's story will parallel his character (Long John Silver) in Treasure Island.
Barlow is a dumb entitled count that's gonna get Flint killed. And I'll forever hate her for it.
My favorite female character on the show has to be Anne Bonny (redhead pirate with Vane's crew). I also like her counterpart Jack.
I enjoy the mix of fictional pirates (Flint, Silver) and historically based (Jack, Anne, Vane).
It makes me want to break out the AC: Black Flag whenever I watch.
