Would be interesting to see how this would have played out last year. Paris and Harris would have been in. Makes you wonder how the late scramble additions will happen in the future. Seems like more early offers will need to be extended to cover more ground.

Is there any type of general consensus or a proposal for a date of the early signing period?

Or the large schools give out more "uncommittable" offers.

It would make NSD even more crazy, coaches would only work on players that are waiting for NSD and not having to worry about players that might switch

There is going to positives and negatives to it like always. For the positives colleges would know who is already signed and concentrate on other needs more and not worry bout kids flipping.

Who do you guys think we would've signed that we didn't and who do you guys think we wouldn't have signed that we did if there was an early signing period that allowed players to sign on August 1st?

I think we sign Hootie Jones and Tony Brown. I think we lose Jamal Adams and Travonte Valentine. Obviously those are just some big names bc our class probably would've had a number of different names.

Why do you think we would've lost Jamal Adams? Just wondering why you think that. Seems to me like he's been ALL LSU for a long time.

I'm for it. Less shenanigans from kids and garbage coaches like Kiffin.

I also believe this is well overdue. You could probably think of just as many that LSU would have successfully recruited over the years with an early signing date.

I believe football players should have similar options as basketball and baseball players currently do with an earlier signing date.

Any thoughts about how many years away we are from seeing this become reality and not just a possibility?
