Just saw Usual Suspects. Didn't like it. spoilers

It was alright. I didn't find any of the characters likable. I know spacey won an oscar for this but I thought overall, the acting wasn't great until Spacey's scenes in the end. I didn't find myself rooting for anyone or even really caring. I knew going in the movie had a "shock" ending though I didn't know what. I saw it coming though in the first scene because it was obviously Spacey's voice speaking. Everyone I know loves this movie, what am I missing?
Oh and are we supposed to believe that spacey killed or knew that his teammates were going to be killed? Why are we rooting for him?

I agree. Saw the twist coming a mile away. Don't understand why Spacey won in the supporting category. He's clearly the lead.

I knew the twist before i saw the movie because its engrained in our pop culture, but that didnt make it any less of a great movie

I am skeptical that you had no idea what the twist was unless you are very young.

I heard there was a twist before I saw the movie. Didn't know what it was. Figured it out in the first scene. And I'm not very young (I was 5 when the movie came out though). I had never spoke with anyone about this movie.
