I bet Alexander regrets that decision. It reminds me of all the rejection letters that Kurt Cobain got when he was shopping around his demos.

hindsight is always 20/20. Damn near every major recording artist was rejected by some label, manager, club at some point early in their careers. How many publishing houses turned down Tom Clancy or John Grisham. Nature of the biz.
Still, pretty cool Bono kept that letter.
