She has been offered a job in Toronto,Canada as a nanny for a widower there with a 7 year old son. supposedly this man is a business man there, but I have done all kind of google searches for this guy, and can't find any info about him, not even a person by the same name.
He has sent her a phone number, but that number has a California Area code.(213).
He gave her an address in Toronto, but I can't link him to that address.
You hear all kind of horror stories, and I don't want anything to happen to this girl. Anybody got any ideas?

After a little searching, I found out that the 213 area code that the guy gave, just happens to include Chinatown and Koreatown in Los Angeles.. He's supposed to live in Toronto..The one in Canada.

Post all the information you have and let the OT detectives do work.

How did she get the job offer? Was it through some type of agency?

Whatever you do, unless you've actually met this girl, don't give her any money/information. She could actually be the one scamming you. Not the other character.

How did you meet this friend?

Also: this is how most of those human trafficking stories begin.

You do realize that if your "friend" would travel to the other side of the world for this "job", then she would give you amazing blowjobs like the world depended on it if you just hook her up with a room.

I would definitely give Liam Neeson a head's up about this situation. He may have some special set of skills that could help your friend.

My niece has a job as a nanny for an executive at a major company- college educated. Without a contract you don't move. End of thread.

Girl that used to work in the same office bldg sent money to one of her relatives who was going to Dubai to do this for someone It was a ripoff. Evidently this kind of scheme is popular to prey on Filipinos, they tell them they need money for some license or something.

Yes, it was through an agency, but I can't find a legitimate physical address for the agency either.

If your friend is anywhere close to a decent human, she needs to not be a Filipino maid. That's damn near the bottom of the bucket.

Did you meet this friend via email? Does she have a unique opportunity to share with you? She only needs 4200 of your American dollars and then she can make you both rich via this business man!

I will add this... Being a Filipino maid in North America beats the hell out of being a Filipino maid in the Middle East.

The Filipino economy must be horrendous.
